Bailey's Bday

Today we celebrated Bailey's 10th birthday.  Andrew, Fletcher and I went to Bailey's class and brought a treat.  The school is really discouraging sugary treats, so I made 30 mini fruit kebobs.  The kids loved them and Fletcher loved helping me!
This past Saturday we went to Judy's house for a BBQ.  We had a great time and the weather was beautiful.  I grabbed Bailey and Andrew for a few fun pics!

macey's new haircut

Macey has been asking for a new haircut for quite sometime.  I thought it was a fleeting idea, so I just kept telling her not yet.  She was sure she wanted it so we cut it off this weekend!  She loves it and looks so cute!!!

Damron's Visit

We had a great time hanging out with the Damron's for a few days. Just as soon as they arrived we celebrated Fletcher's birthday.

We went to the pool one day, worked on the hardwood floors. Went to DC the next day, worked on the floors, and then before they left we did a little more on the floors. Did I mention that Steven also fixed Andrew's car?

We had a great time and were sad to see them leave.

Our weekend started Friday night with Macey’s 7th birthday party. It was a Luau! Everyone came dressed so cute, and they jumped on the trampoline, played “hot coconut”, did coconut bowling, hula hoping contest, and had a great time.

With 14 girls there was lots of screaming and high pitched happy voices, it was a bit much. Even Macey came in and said there were too many girls! The cake was an ice cream cake I made. It was really easy, and the kids loved it. Inexpensive too!

Saturday our friends the Fagg’s were in town. They are the ones we visited in Georgia over Spring Break. So we went over to the neighbor’s house where they were staying and had a pot luck breakfast. After that, I ran Hudson over to the church where he was suppose to help with a Scout fundraiser: car wash, bake sale and rummage sale. Now here’s one of the highlights of the weekend. But I have to tell this first…for the past few weeks I have been working really hard on cleaning out stuff and getting rid of junk. I had quite a few boxes and bags of this and that. Lots of stuffed animals especially. Well, after the rummage sale, they let the boys take home whatever they wanted. And yes, you guessed it, here comes Hudson home with boxes and boxes of junk and lots of stuffed animals!!! Our bishop kindly brought him home and called us on the way to give us the warning! So now I made him keep all of it in his room, and wow, what a mess!!!

Andrew had about 2 hours of the day where he felt okay, so we worked on cleaning out the garage. When the basement flooded, we moved most of everything out there, so now we need to clean it out and get rid of more stuff!

Later Saturday, we took the kids to the Old Navy outlet and let them each get a new shirt and shorts for the summer. If you ever dare visit the outlets on Memorial Day, they have great sales. It is worth it. But we only went to Old Navy, and only for 1 hour. Then headed back to the Summer Kick-off event right at the park by our house. They block off the street and have food vendors, ice cream, moon bounces, etc. And then they do a firework show. It is always lots of fun, and the whole neighborhood is there, so the kids love it.

Sunday night we had 3 families over for dinner. We ate and then played some fun games.

Yesterday we had a ward picnic and then went to the pool. It was a nice warm day but freezing cold water. The kids didn't mind! I did a photo shoot last night for the man who helped us with the carpets. His whole family was in town for a baptism and they wanted family pictures. I was so happy to do that for them. They turned out pretty good.

That just about sums it all up. Andrew was really sick over the weekend, and this was suppose to be a good weekend. He was only able to do everything listed above for about 1-2 hours, then that was it for him. But thankfully only 2 treatments to go! Almost there.

girl's new room

Back in February the girls and I decided to redecorated their room. I have a friend who is an interior designer, so we did a trade, I took photos of her girls and she offered to help me out with a project. We had fun doing it, and i was so glad to have her help!

Our trip to Orlando was so much fun. Nana came and joined us and the kids just loved having her around. Actually, i don't know what i would have done without her there!

Nana found a great deal for Universal Studios and so we spent 3 fun days there. The overall favorite was probably Curious George's Ball Playground. The kids could shoot or blast these soft foam balls, and then suck them up into a basket. Even the grown ups had fun!

The weather was so nice and warm. We were lucky on the last day at Universal it was suppose to rain, but held out right until we had to leave.

On Friday we spent the whole day at the pool. It was a nice sunny day, and unfortunately we all got a little sunburned. Steven and Rachel drove down and spent the afternoon with us. It was so much fun hanging out with them and watching the kids swim and swim and swim.

We packed up Saturday night and left at 3:50am Easter Sunday morning. Judy was so kind and did ALL of the driving! We made it home Sunday at 6pm. With plenty of time to unpack the car and have and Easter egg hunt.

Most of you know that we abandoned Andrew and headed down south for Spring Break last week.

Our friends, the Fagg's in Atlanta invited us to come and visit, and needed some pics of her son (below) who is about to get baptized.

Our great friends, the Hans joined us and we carpooled down first thing Friday morning. We had a fantastic time there! All 11 kids had so much fun together. I think they all really enjoyed playing "capture the flag". On Saturday, it was raining so Bishop Han suggested an "Olympics" which we held at the church. As soon as we got there it started hailing!

We left the Fagg's Monday and headed down to Florida. Stopped by my brother Steven's house (he lives just north of Orlando) and met our newest cousin McKay!

Isn't he the cutest? We all just love this little guy!
